The weather is against me

I have noticed, not once, but numerous times that the weather is working against me. Especially when I have made up my mind to embark on an ambitious outdoor exercise regime. Somehow or rather, the dates which I often choose would be met with overcast skys, thunderstorms, howling winds and worse of all, a change in weather which make me go down with a flu or fever. All these of course, would inevitably lead to an early termination of the grand plan.

Or perhaps, its just pure laziness that I am looking for excuses not to exercise?

Not entirely true I must say. Though I’am definitely not an exercise freak who needs his daily dose of exercise, else one might suffer from withdrawal symptoms, I’am definitely not one who shuns away from exercising. In fact, I have been exercising rather regularly (at least 3 times a week, if not 5) in the comfort of my division’s gym. (Yeah, the weather can’t get to me when i’am indoor).

Since it has absolutely nothing to do with laziness, then there must certainly be something wrong with the weather, since the hypothesis is only set up with 2 possible outcomes. (rather dumb to assume it this way though…haha…well, just for the fun of it)

It happened just last saturday. While, the entire week has been bright and sunny, torrential rain tored down my block last saturday morning when I have decided to go cycling that particular morning. The rain did not stop until late evening well after I reached the studio for salsa lesson. Well, miss mf would probably had hated saturday since she’s one who can’t be touch by raindrops, else she would melt (nah, just fall sick that’s all). This is just one classic example at how the weather would work against me.

Or perhaps there’s something deeper? I am not supposed to be involved in vigorous exercises? The weather is the divine intervention that is preventing me from being involved in vigorous exercises? hmm…could that be a possibility too?

Rubbish…
