An interesting conversation
An interesting conversation that took place minutes just before the end of the week. Totally caught me off guard as it was unexpected and really, in certain sense unsolicited. Well, it came and I can’t do anything but to take it in my stride. To me, life is still like playing solitaire. It ain’t over till the last possible card has been flipped. And yesh, guys…NOT AGAIN…hahaha…laugh with me as there is seriously nothing I can do about it.
Person A: you didn’t go back to work this weekend, did you?
Person B: WANTED to
Person B: decided against it
Person B: trying to work no
Person B: now
Person B: not woarking either
Person A: Good luck, i hope its not something urgent
Person A: guess its really tough to bet on you for dinner at the end of the year at this rate
Person A: the odds are definitely against me
Person B: As I have said, i’m a lost cause
Person B: in more ways than one
Person A: well, i’am an investor, not a speculator
Person B: which is why I bother to counsel u and advise u against making the wrong investment decision
Person A: there’s no such things as a wrong investment lar…there are always risk involved…high risk high returns, low risk low returns
Person B: hahhaah
Person A: and in certain sense, no risk, no returns
Person B: ok
Person B: you have been forewarned
Person B: I shall say no more
Person A: thanks for the advise nonetheless, really appreciate it
Person B: it’s the least tt i can do
Person A: will definitely proceed with caution, taking calculate risks along the way
Person B: being in receipt of your sweet thoughts, but in no position to recipocrate
Person A: there’s no guaranteed returns on investments in this world
Person B: i think u shld stop looking at things from an investment point of view
Person B: investments are instruments which may yield returns upon you undertaking some risks
Person A: not all the time
Person A: some investments can wipe out your capital also
Person B: lost causes are instruments which will never yield return, no matter wat calculated / uncalculated risks u are willing to take
Person A: I guess you nver know whether something is an investment or a lost cause at the start, if everyone already knew the ending, then there wouldn’t be a start at the first place
Person B: yes, one never knows at the strat
Person B: start
Person B: but one will come to learn some time
Person B: n the revelation has been made in this case
Person A: profit warning huh
Person B: tsk tsk
Person B: still thinking of profit
Person B: already told u it’s lost cause
Person B: means it’s not meant for investing n time or money into
Person A: profit warning means the declaration of losses lar
Person B: oh
Person B: ok
Person B: term of art
Person A: finance jargon
